If your pets coat is extremely matted this can be painful and traumatic to brush out. I will always humanely groom your pet and sometimes this means shaving a matted coat over painfully brushing out matts.

When presented with this type of coat there is a risk of grazing or nicking your pets skin due to requiring a very short shave. The utmost care will be given to avoid this but is not always possible.

Extra charges may be added for the time required to shave a matted coat.

You will always be consulted when a coat requires shaving and it is your choice whether to take your pet away or proceed with shaving a matted coat.

The groom may be stopped prior to completion if your pet shows signs of excessive stress or agitation and you will be asked to come back at another time to complete the groom.

Some dogs find the grooming process stressful or frightening, while I will always work with your pet to allow a safe and stress free groom but some dogs may take multiple sessions to feel comfortable with the grooming process.

Dogs that require extra time due to aggression or behaviour may incur an extra charge.

Your groom may be stopped if your pets behaviour poses a risk of injury to either them or myself. You will only be charged for services carried out up until that point.
